I began as a freelance translator in 1999. Now I work with many translation agencies and publishing houses in Russia, the USA, the UK, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, China, Taiwan, Israel, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and India as a translator from English to Russian and from English to Ukrainian.
Rates
Translation rate per source word (basic): 0.08 Euro.
Hourly rate (proofreading): 20 Euro
Minimum charge: 20 Euro
The rates are negotiable. I offer discounts for repetitions, fuzzy matches and volume.
Availability
I am a full time translator. Usually I work from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 6pm (Moscow time, GMT+3), but I can work in evenings and weekends if necessary. My daily output is about 2500 to 3000 words.
Payment Options
I accept payments in Euro or US dollars through wire transfer or MoneyBookers. Please note that I can't use cheques or PayPal.

Scientific Experience and Interests
My basic qualification is as a research engineer-physicist. Since 2000 I have been a senior research officer at the Russian Cardiology Research Center in the Laboratory of Arterial Hypertension. Currently I am taking part in research work on the pathogenesis and etiology of primary hypertension and medical genetics. Moreover, I have extensive experience in membrane science, polymer science, time series analysis, dynamical chaos, and nonlinear science. I have about 30 articles in scientific journals and conference presentations.
Computer Skills
I am an experienced computer user and amateur programmer (C++). I work with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), ABBYY Lingvo, ABBYY Fine Reader, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Acrobat (full), Adobe Framemaker, ACDSee, WinZip, WinRar, etc. I have a fast Internet connection, E-mail, and FTP. I have a modern PC and notebook, laser printer and scanner.
